We are looking for an IT Specialist in Barcelona

About the job:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to join our Management team in Barcelona and take care of all our IT needs. We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our IT infrastructure, supporting both local and remote environments. This individual will play a key role in ensuring seamless operations across multiple platforms, administering essential services, and securing data through backup solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing both Windows and Linux systems, proficiency in scripting and automation, and a thorough understanding of Office 365 and backup systems.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Systems Administration

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows systems.
  • Expertise in batch commands and scripts (Linux, Windows, PowerShell, batch) to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability across multi-OS environments.

·Office 365 Administration

  • Manage Office 365 accounts, permissions, and policies.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot email flow, collaboration tools, and overall platform functionality.
  • Experience in developing, managing, and optimizing business solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate is a plus.

·Exchange Server Administration

  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of email and calendar servers.
  • Manage email accounts, distribution lists, and related email policies.

·Backup Systems Management

  • Set up, monitor, and maintain backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Work with both local/NAS and cloud-based backup solutions to implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans.

·Technical Support

  • Provide IT support to end-users, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
  • Document procedures, processes, and troubleshooting steps to maintain efficient support standards.

Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering or a related field

Experience: 3+ years of related experience for hardware-related companies or startup environment

 

 Soft skills:

·Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about complex systems.

·Ability to take responsibility and manage stress.

·Excellent communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration and reporting.

·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.

·Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
