We are looking for a Junior Structural Analysis Engineer in Barcelona:


About your job:  

As Junior Structural Analysis Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • You will be part of our mechanical department and assume an important role in advancing Pangea's propulsion systems.  
  • Your primary responsibility will entail serving as the structural analyst for the development of rocket engines, working along the design engineers to implement recommended changes into their designs. This includes conducting static and dynamic analysis utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) tools.  
  • Initially, you will contribute to the development of the  ARCOS engine, which represents Pangea's flagship aerospike system.  
  • Previous experience in static and dynamic analysis, along with a strong command of FEA software are essential skills for this role. 

 

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical/astronautical, aerospace or mechanical engineering.   
  • Creative problem solver, experience in overcoming failure, and an independent learner.  
  • Team player. We value collaboration and interdisciplinary team work on our day-to-day tasks. 
  • Experience preparing technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.  
  • 1+ years of experience with advanced commercial FEA software, preferable Abaqus. 
  • Experience in structures dynamic analysis and dynamic environment specification. 
  • Fluent English. Spanish is a plus.  

 

Other useful skills:

  • Msc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar engineering field   
  • Deep knowledge of structural dynamic environment. 
  • Experience assisting invibration test and post-procesing 
  • Experience with dedicated meshing tools. 
  • Experience with thermo-mechanical and non lienear analysis is a plus.   
  • CAD experience, preferably using Siemens NX   
  • Programming skills, e.g. Python or MATLAB
