We are an aerospace start-up based in Barcelona and Toulouse and we are focused on developing disruptive technologies for small satellite launch vehicles. 

Our mission is to develop the technology that enables a more efficient, sustainable, and commercial access to space. We successfully tested a world’s first 3D printed aerospike engine, introducing several new technologies into its design. And we are leading the development of innovative launcher technology making reusable rockets the catalyst for sustainable and low-cost access to space.

We are looking for a Structural Analysis engineer in Toulouse or Barcelona:

About your job:

As Structural analysis engineer, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Perform linear and non-linear static FE analyses on various structures 
  • Meet requirements set by ECSS and other relevant standards 
  • Work together with design engineers to implement recommended changes into their designs 
  • Work together with test engineers to obtain loads or validate FEA 

What you need to be successful:

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar engineering field 
  • 3+ years of experience with carrying out FE analyses in aerospace industry 
  • Deep knowledge of structural mechanics 
  • Experience with thermo-mechanical analyses and understanding the behaviour of metals at high and low temperatures 
  • Experience with ANSYS, TCAE or other advanced commercial FEA software 
  • Fluent English 
  • Good communication skills, particularly in terms of being resilient 

Other useful skills:

  • Understanding of liquid rocket engine working principles 
  • CAD experience, preferably using Siemens NX 
  • Programming skills, e.g. Python or MATLAB 
  • Experience with experimental validation of FE models
  • Experience with high-cycle fatigue analysis 
  • Experience with bolted flange analysis 
  • Experience with analysis of pipelines and tanks 
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes used for aerospace structures 
  • Critical mindset 
  • Ability to work autonomously with little or no supervision
