We are looking for a Test facility Technician in Alguaire:

About the role:

As Test Facility Technician, you’ll be responsible for preparing, executing, and maintaining hot-fire test operations at Pangea’s in-house test facility. You’ll work side-by-side with propulsion engineers and the test team to ensure each test is executed flawlessly, data is captured cleanly, and all systems are maintained and safe. You will play a crucial role in validating the performance of Pangea’s propulsion systems before they head to space.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Preparation & Execution

• Set up and configure test stands, fluid systems, instrumentation, and safety systems for rocket engine testing (thrusters to full-scale engines).
• Support the countdown and control room operations during hot-fire campaigns.
• Perform pre-test and post-test checkouts of propulsion systems and test infrastructure.

Maintenance & Safety

• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and inspection of all test equipment: valves, pressure vessels, sensors, actuators, DAQ systems, etc.
• Ensure test facility compliance with safety protocols and participate in safety reviews and pre-test briefings.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and functional readiness of the entire test facility.

Instrumentation & Data Systems

• Assist in the installation and troubleshooting of sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, load cells).
• Support DAQ system operation and basic data collection workflows.

Documentation & Reporting

• Keep logs of test activities, maintenance procedures, and technical issues.
• Work with engineers to identify and resolve issues from test data and system behavior.
• Accounting of consumables and spare parts

What you need to be successful:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with high-pressure systems, cryogenics, or fuel lines is a major plus.
• Hands-on experience with standard tools (wrenches, screw drivers, drills, grinders, etc.)
• Comfortable working around hazardous systems and in safety-critical environments.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in test, operations, or maintenance of aerospace or industrial systems (e.g., propulsion, fluid systems, engines, test stands) would be strongly beneficial.
• Team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do mindset, and problem-solving skills-
• Basic understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and testing protocols.
• Bonus: welding, machining, or electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish and/ or Catalan ; French is a plus.
